Routine Teeth Cleaning

Regular dental cleanings are part of a proper oral hygiene program. Cleanings help fight plaque, the major cause of tooth decay, gingivitis and serious gum disease.

Why do I need regular dental cleanings?

The fight against plaque is a major component of preventative care. While daily brushing and flossing are your first line of defense against plaque, professional cleaning is more thorough than the best you can do at home. Even proper brushing alone can’t remove the tartar that accumulates at the gumline. Good hygiene and regular dental cleanings are cost-effective, too. It costs much more to have teeth repaired and replaced than it does to have regular exams and cleanings.

Crowns

At your clinical examination, your dentist suggested that the proper means of restoring your tooth was an all porcelain crown. The reasons for making that suggestion can vary from case to case.

Bridges

Crown and bridge work, also described as restorative dentistry, refers to the restoration of natural teeth that have been damaged, decayed or lost. Crowns and bridges can correct missing teeth, bite dysfunction, and functional or structural problems. A crown may be constructed to restore an individual damaged tooth back to its original form and function, while a bridge may be utilized to replace one or more teeth. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.

Simple Braces

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment.  We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occured?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem:?
  • Do any teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

Mini Dental Implants (MDI)

Lumineers/No Prep Veneers

Porcelain laminate veneers are probably the most aesthetic means of creating a more pleasing and beautiful smile.  They require a minimal amount of tooth reduction (approximately .5 mm) and are, therefore, a more conservative restoration than a crown.  Veneers allow us to alter tooth position, shape, size and color.  They are not the only alternative for aesthetic abnormalties but are truly a remarkable restoration when they are the treatment of choice.
